With the landscape leading the way, attention to the fine details that support a functional and fun living space, such as studies for the turning radius of a circle driveway, collaboration with a putting green expert, and design of an outdoor living area, were considered. As landscape led architecture, this project was designed to fit in with the rural agricultural setting in the modern farmhouse style. In response to the clients’ request for  privacy from a nearby industrial space, we formed strategically placed berms and curated a plant palette of reliable and resilient plants that could withstand the steady wind exposure and low water access.
